Promoting Preventive Healthcare Through Community Based Screening

Humana People to People India’s Project Niramaya, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, organised a Mega Health Camp on 20 August 2026 in cooperation with Balanagar Primary Health Centre (PHC) to promote regular health screening, early diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment.

The health camp reached 135 community members, who received health screenings, medical consultations and counselling for a range of health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, mental health concerns, eye-related disorders, cancer and other general health conditions.

The camp brought together specialist doctors, PHC staff, ASHA workers and community representatives, facilitating coordinated and accessible healthcare services for the community.

The initiative highlighted the importance of collaborative, community-based healthcare in promoting preventive health practices, enabling people to identify health concerns at an early stage and supporting timely access to appropriate care.

Through Project Niramaya, Humana People to People India continues to strengthen community-level healthcare and promote greater awareness, early detection and access to essential health services.
