Humana People to People India, in collaboration with the Basic Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has initiated the Necessary Teacher Training (NeTT) Programme in District Institutes for Education and Training (DIETs) Kanpur Dehat and Sonbhadra. 

An Orientation Event was organised on 10th July 2025 at DIET Kanpur Dehat, which welcomed student-teachers to join the event. Key aspects of NeTT Programme such as Function and Core Groups, Teaching Practice and Community Engagement were highlighted at the event. Also, Rajesh Verma (Principal, DIET Kanpur Dehat) addressed the students, emphasising the NeTT Programme’s alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and the need for transformational teacher education.

Humana People to People India is implementing the NeTT Programme in Uttar Pradesh in partnership with Rural India Supporting Trust (RIST).
