Impact Sharing Event Held at Barotiwala
Humana People to People India’s (HPPI) Project Strengthening Reproductive and Child Healthcare Services for Underprivileged Women, Adolescents & Children in Barotiwala, Himachal Pradesh, held its Impact Sharing Event on 29 October 2025 at BBNIA Hall, Baddi.
Chandan Verma (National Partnership Officer, HPPI) shared the project’s three-year impact — reaching over 40,000 people, building the capacity of 125 frontline health workers (including 35 ANMs and ASHAs), and organising 550 mobile health camps benefiting more than 16,000 individuals. The project has supported 959 pregnant women, identified and assisted 35 children with malnutrition, and conducted 361 nutrition workshops, 1,238 counselling sessions on menstrual hygiene, and eight school health awareness programmes.
The event was attended by Saroj Sharma (Lady Supervisor, ICDS), Manoj Kumar Mishra (Group Manager — HR & Employee Relations, Wipro), Lata Devi (Pradhan, Mandhala Panchayat), and Raj Paul (Vice Principal, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Ghared), who appreciated HPPI’s deep community engagement and its contribution to strengthening grassroots health systems.
Speaking at the event, Manoj Mishra highlighted, “The progress achieved through this project reflects the power of sustained grassroots engagement. HPPI’s team has built trust, strengthened health systems, and helped ensure essential services reach the most vulnerable.” Saroj Sharma also acknowledged the positive community transformation and emphasised the importance of continuous field engagement and partnerships.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the presentation of mementos to field workers for their dedicated service.
Launched in November 2022, the project has been implemented by HPPI in partnership with Wipro Cares, in collaboration with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Department of Health, Solan.
