HPPI Honoured with the GAMA Changemakers Award 2025
Humana People to People India (HPPI) has been honoured with the GAMA Changemakers Award 2025 for its outstanding contribution to preventing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and drug resistance through person-centred, rights-based, and gender-transformative approaches.
The award, presented by the Global AMR Media Alliance (GAMA), recognises HPPI’s continued commitment to strengthening community awareness, promoting the responsible use of medicines, and improving access to essential healthcare services — particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.
Through its community-focused programmes, HPPI is working closely with the health department, frontline workers, and local institutions to build knowledge, change behaviours, and empower people to make informed health choices. These efforts are helping to reduce the misuse of antibiotics and medicines, while supporting healthier, more resilient communities. Antimicrobial resistance is not just a medical issue — it is a community challenge. HPPI’s approach places people at the centre, ensuring awareness, access, and dignity in healthcare.
Together, we remain committed to building informed communities that can prevent AMR and safeguard public health for generations to come.
