Project Arogya Organises Mass Awareness Events on Breastfeeding
HPPI’s Project Arogya marked World Breastfeeding Week with Mass Awareness Events from 1-7 August 2025. The awareness week brought together lactating and pregnant women, community members, frontline health workers, along with distinguished guests including Devendra Singh Raghav (Assistant program executive, CFCL), Dr Arun Patrath (Program Executive Health, CFCL), ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, ANMs, Lady Supervisors, PRI members and PHC Medical Officers.
The events highlighted the critical health benefits of breastfeeding—providing essential nutrients, acting as a natural vaccine, boosting immunity, reducing illness risks for babies, and lowering mothers’ risk of breast cancer. With 1,305 participants engaged, the sessions strengthened awareness about breastfeeding’s vital role in optimal child health and development.
Humana People to People India is implementing Project Arogya in Kota and Baran districts of Rajasthan in partnership with the KK Birla Memorial Society (established by Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited). The Project aims at strengthening health-seeking behaviour and improving primary healthcare services across 31 villages in Kota and Baran districts of Rajasthan.
