Project Wel-Netrutva Empowering Women through Awareness and Improved Access to Health Facilities
Humana People to People India’s Project Wel-Netrutva, organised awareness events on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day.
During the event, over 250 women and adolescent girls participated in engaging awareness sessions, learning about the importance of menstrual hygiene, breaking taboos, and embracing their health with confidence. The initiative is empowering women and girls with essential knowledge on health and livelihood.
Humana People to People India is implementing Project Wel-Netrutva in Amethi and Ambedkar Nagar districts of Uttar Pradesh in partnership with Welspun Foundation for Knowledge and Health. So far, the Project has benefited more than 5,000 women and adolescent girls across 20 villages by improving access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices (WASH), contributing to better health and well-being.
