Project Niramaya Bringing Healthcare Closer to Communities
HPPI’s Project Niramaya Palwal, conducted two General Health Check-up Camps (OPDs) on 18 and 19 June 2026 in Amroli and Alawalpur (Basantgarh) villages, strengthening access to quality healthcare for rural communities.
The camps focused on the prevention, early detection, and management of diabetes, hypertension, tuberculosis (TB), mental health conditions, and other common health concerns. A team of healthcare professionals, Health Accelerators, a nutritionist, and community health workers worked together to provide comprehensive medical services and health education.
The camps were led by Dr. Bhola Shankar (MBBS, MD), supported by Health Accelerators and Ms. Vaishnavi, Nutritionist, who provided individualised dietary counselling and customised diet plans for people with diabetes and hypertension. In Amroli, two presumptive TB cases were identified, and sputum samples were collected and referred to CHC Badoli for further diagnosis. The camp benefited 58 community members.
In Alawalpur (Basantgarh), 15 sputum samples were collected from individuals requiring further TB investigation and referred to CHC Alawalpur for diagnostic testing. The camp reached 87 community members, providing medical consultations, health screenings, and nutrition counselling.
Together, the two camps benefited 145 people, delivering essential medical consultations, diagnostic screenings, nutrition counselling, and referrals for further care. Through the collective efforts Project Niramaya is strengthening preventive healthcare, promoting early diagnosis, and improving access to quality health services in underserved communities.
