Mass Awareness Campaign on Maternal Health Reaches Thousands through Project Arogya
HPPI’s Project Arogya organised a mass awareness campaign on maternal health through street plays across 31 villages, reaching 8,136 people. The initiative actively engaged both men and women, recognising that maternal and child health is a shared family and community responsibility.
The street plays highlighted the importance of regular antenatal check-ups, balanced nutrition, institutional delivery, vaccination, breastfeeding, and newborn care in simple and relatable language with powerful messages. The awareness sessions encouraged families to access government health services and schemes designed to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
The programme showed strong collaboration among frontline health workers to PRI members, ensuring that essential health messages reached households effectively.
HPPI is implementing Project Arogya in Kota and Baran districts of Rajasthan in partnership with Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) aiming to strengthen health-seeking behaviour through awareness and improve primary healthcare services.
