Capacity Building Session for Kadam & Sambhavana

Capacity Building Session for Kadam & Sambhavana

To foster a progressive learning environment through quality teaching, 5-day capacity building sessions for Kadam Division Organisers (DOs) and project leaders was organised by HPPI. These offline and online sessions were held from 10th-16th January 2024 at HPPI’s headquarters in New Delhi.

Over the course of the 5 days, participants actively engaged in discussions and collaborative activities, resulting in the formulation of a comprehensive 3-month project activities plan. The sharing of experiences allowed for a rich understanding of various strategies to enhance learning outcomes among primary school children. A highlight of the event was an exhibition at the HPPI headquarters in New Delhi, where 35 DOs and project leaders from 5 states—Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra—showcased their best products.

The Kadam programme, designed as a bridge to address learning gaps in children, is implemented in collaboration with respective state governments. In the year 2023, the programme made a significant impact by supporting 112,625 primary school children involving 4,883 primary school teachers and education volunteers.
