Skill and Business Information Fair Held in Agra under Project Disha
HPPI’s Project Disha organised a Skill and Business Information Fair at Khairagarh, Agra, Uttar Pradesh on 28th January 2026. The fair was arranged to raise awareness about entrepreneurship development, skill training, and government support systems available for women.
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of more than 500 aspiring women entrepreneurs. The event was inaugurated by Sudhir Garg (Chairman, Khairagarh), while Ravinder Yadav (Project Manager, HPPI) presented insights about the project’s interventions and how women can build sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship. Rajkumar (Block Mission Manager, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana—National Rural Livelihoods Mission) encouraged women to enrol in free self-employment training programmes such as tailoring, beauty services, and jute bag making, enabling income generation from home.
The fair enabled learning, networking, and new possibilities—strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem for rural women. Seven women entrepreneurs showcased and sold their products through stalls, and six women shared their inspiring journeys of starting and growing businesses with support from Project Disha.
Project Disha is being supported by YES Foundation and implemented by Humana People to People India (HPPI) in Assam, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, supporting women-led entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
