Sambhavana Students’ Graduation Celebration
HPPI’s Sambhavana Programme in Panipat, Haryana celebrated the graduation of its 412 students from the programme on 30th September 2024.
Dr Akula Padmavati (Chairperson, HPPI) was the chief guest of the event where she emphasised the transformative power of education in the development of society. During the event, Rakesh Rajput (Project Leader, HPPI) highlighted the unique model Sambhavana Programme and its impact. Subhash Bharadwaj (District Elementary Education Officer and District Project Coordinator, Panipat), Bijender Hooda (Block Education Officer, Panipat), and Attar Singh (Assistant Project Coordinator) appreciated the Sambhavana programme model and encouraged the children to continue their studies and promising support for future endeavours. A few students and parents of the students associated with the programme shared their inspiring journey with Sambhavana. The event also saw the presence of Child Rights Protection Forum members, parents and Government-school teachers and local child activists.
HPPI is implementing the Sambhavana Programme in partnership with Fund for Innovation in Development (FID). The programme is specially designed for children above 12 years of age to address the learning gaps for out-of-school children and children facing learning difficulties in the schools (grades 6–8). The programme reached out to 526 children in 2023–24.
