Puppet Show for TB Awareness
A puppet show to raise awareness about TB addressing the stigma associated with the disease was performed at HPPI’s headquarters in New Delhi on 28th May 2024.
After being trained in a 10-day workshop, members of Project SWEET or Street Women Empowered and Engaged to Stop TB performed this puppet show. Members of Project SWEET organised and performed this event. The project is dedicated towards engaging and empowering women affected by TB within the homeless community of Delhi and raising awareness to stop the disease. This puppet show reflects their resilience and creativity while providing them with a platform to share their stories and advocate for change. The puppet show titled Rani Ke Sar Par Seengh is designed to raise awareness about TB, foster community engagement and secure valuable support for ongoing TB prevention and treatment efforts particularly among vulnerable populations. The show was directed by Vinay Bhatt (director) and Priyanka (assistant director) from Puppet Kala and written by Aparajita Chatterjee (HPPI).
