Project Niramaya organises a Visibility & Impact Event at Gurugram

HPPI’s Project Niramaya organised a Visibility & Impact Event at Primary Health Centre Garhi Hasru, Gurugram, Haryana on 7th February 2025. It was organised to enhance awareness about Tuberculosis (TB), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), and overall health and well-being. The event was enriched by the presence of Keshav Sharma (District TB Officer), Dr Anuj Garg (Deputy Civil Surgeon), Dr Priya Sharma (NCD Cell) along with Sanjeev Bhatt (Director, HPPI).
The event featured awareness stalls and interactive sessions where trained Health Accelerators conducted informative discussions on hypertension, diabetes, cervical and breast cancer, mental health and TB. Community members actively participated and gained valuable insights for prevention, early detection and treatment of these diseases.
Project’s progress and impact were presented at the event, and key stakeholders highlighted achievements in disease prevention, patient care and community mobilisation. An experience-sharing session provided a platform for TB Champions, ASHA workers, and recovered TB patients for narrating their journeys, underscoring the importance of early diagnosis, treatment adherence and social support. Additionally, nutritional kits were distributed to Persons with TB (PwTB) to aid their recovery and strengthen their immunity.
