HPPI’s Children with Special Needs Project Panipat organised a health check-up camp on 19 April 2024 in collaboration with the District Early Intervention Center (DEIC), Civil Hospital, Panipat for specially abled children.

A team of three doctors including Dr Sonal Rana, Dr Madhumita, Dr Pradeep Malik, and pharmacists Shweta, Mandeep Singh from DEIC, Civil Hospital participated in the camp. 31 children were provided consultancy and family members were counselled regarding special care to the children. All the participants’ children were connected to the National Child Health Program and were provided Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Cards. The team also suggested parents to visit Civil Hospital DEIC Center for availing further treatment and other facilities like wheelchairs and walking aids, hearing and vision aids etc. The children were also provided the ORS packets and Iron Folic Acid tablets by the DEIC doctors.

Through the Children with Special Needs Project in Panipat, Humana People to People India is supporting communities to build an inclusive environment for specially abled children and helping more 150 children with in documentation and with providing equipment.
