Entrepreneurship and Skill Information Fairs organised by Project DISHA
To empower the entrepreneurial spirit and to champion more awareness by celebrating women entrepreneurs and their communities Entrepreneurship and Skill Information Fairs were organised by Project DISHA. In two separate events in Tezpur, Assam and Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh 500 aspiring women entrepreneurs attended the events on 27th July. 42 existing business women exhibited their handicrafts too at these events.
The Chief Guest of the event Awad Ali (Chairman, Aonla Municipal) was at the event in Aonla, Bareilly, along with Vijay Kumar Arora (Lead District Manager) to motivate the women. At the Tezpur event the Chief Guest Varsha Talukdar (Assistant Commissioner, Tezpur), Prithvi Raj Rabha (MLA, Tezpur) and Joydev Das (Executive Vice President, YES Bank) also encouraged women to take up businesses.
DISHA programme is providing training in entrepreneurship and business development, along with enhancing understanding for better livelihood opportunities and market linkages to over 36,000 women in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Assam. Project DISHA is being supported by YES Foundation and implemented by HPPI.
