The global team from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) interacted with the women entrepreneurs supported by the BridgeIT Project in Jharkhand on 16 January 2023. Senior members from the TCS’s global CSR leadership interacted with the 32 women entrepreneurs supported by the project at Celebration Inn Hotel, Latehar. The group then proceeded to visit two shops of the women entrepreneurs Tabassum Khatun and Priyanka in Hethpochra and Dihi villages respectively.

Humana People to People India (HPPI) is implementing the BridgeIT project in Latehar and Lohardaga districts in Jharkhand in partnership with TCS. The project aims to bridge the access and competency gap between marginalised communities and the developed sections of society by using digital tools. The programme acts as an enabler for removing illiteracy, giving children digital education, and creating entrepreneurs by providing them access to IT/Computers.

The TCS’ global team was accompanied by senior members from the HPPI leadership. Key stakeholders of the project from the Common Service Centre (CSC), Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSPLS), and the relevant village Mukhiyas were also present at the event. The event was also covered by local media like Utkal Mail and Jagran.
