Project Disha Organises Skill & Business Information Fair in Hathras
Project Disha successfully organised a Skill and Business Information Fair in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh on 19th November 2025. The primary objective of the event was to empower aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing valuable insights and opportunities in skill-based businesses, as well as to raise awareness among women in the community about the project’s interventions, including Entrepreneurship Development Training. The event celebrated the skills of women entrepreneurs and provided them with a platform to start or expand their own businesses.Â
Â
The event was attended by chief guest Prem Nath (District Development Officer, Hathras), along with Sunil Kumar (District Manager, Rural Self-Employment Training Institute), Lalitesh (SHO, Hathras Police Station) among others and HPPI employees. The skill fair was made even more impactful by the participation of various departments that supported women by providing information on multiple government schemes. Successful businesswomen also shared their inspiring entrepreneurial journeys, which served as powerful examples, motivating other women to pursue their own business aspirations. The event featured several stalls where project entrepreneurs showcased their products. Â
Â
The fair not only gave these women a platform to display their products but also enabled them to interact with guests, network, and explore potential business opportunities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 520 aspiring women entrepreneurs in Hathras.Â

Project Disha is supported by YES Foundation and implemented by Humana People to People India.Â
