World TB Day was celebrated across HPPI’s many project sites on 24th March. These included awareness rallies, street plays and IEC material distribution in the community. The aim was to educate the community about TB, its transmission, symptoms, diagnosis and the treatment underlining the significance of timely intervention.

HPPI’s Disha Project in Assam, organised a two-day Skill and Business Information Fair in Jorhat on 16th and 17th March 2024. Shashikant Gupta, Director of the Ministry of Textile participated as chief guest and inaugurated the Fair. Bhavesh Tumuli, Director of the Ministry of Handloom, also visited the fair on the second day and inspired the women to start their own businesses to become self-dependent.

HPPI’s Kadam+UP 25 project in Shravasti district organised an exposure visit with Primary School, Natthapurwa students on 17th March 2024. The visit was planned in collaboration with the Headmaster and 35 students visited Sitapur Dwar, a quaint village nestled in Ekona Block in Shravasti District. The visit aimed to broaden horizons and ignite curiosity as these students transition from 5th to 6th grade.
